Dalton Chism, FP&A Manager
As financial planning and analysis (FP&A) manager at Precision Group, Dalton Chism oversees forecasting, budgeting and reporting initiatives that support the company’s operational and strategic decision-making.
Dalton brings a strong background in finance, operations and strategic analysis, with more than nine years of experience spanning enterprise FP&A and owner-operator leadership roles. Much of his career has been rooted in automotive parts manufacturing and logistics, where he developed expertise translating complex operational data into clear financial insights that support business performance and informed decision-making.
Known for his analytical mindset and collaborative approach, Dalton works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to connect operational drivers with financial outcomes and strengthen long-term planning.
Dalton earned a Master of Business Administration from Western Kentucky University with a concentration in Business Data Analytics and Executive Decision-Making, graduating with honors. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Western Kentucky University, graduating magna cum laude.

What do you love about the Broadband industry?
What I love about the broadband industry is that it is essential infrastructure with a direct impact on how people live, work, learn, and connect. It is exciting because it combines long-term strategic investment with constant innovation and measurable real-world outcomes.
How has the industry evolved over your career, looking back what is most surprising?
Although most of my career has been in automotive parts manufacturing and logistics, what stands out to me is how broadband has evolved into truly essential infrastructure with a direct impact on economic growth and daily life. What is most surprising is how quickly it has moved from being seen as a utility-like service to a strategic platform where investment decisions drive real customer, business, and community outcomes.
What does your favorite Saturday look like?
There is nothing better than a Saturday spent on the boat with my wife, soaking up the sun, relaxing, and making memories together.
What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
Outside of work, my biggest interests are boating and AI. Boating helps me unwind and recharge, while AI is something I’m deeply passionate about because of its potential to transform the world and create new opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
Tell us something about yourself people may not know?
Something people may not know about me is that I genuinely enjoy digging into how things work, whether it is a business process, a market dynamic, or a new idea. I’ve always been curious by nature, and that curiosity tends to show up in both my work and everyday life.
What was your 10 year-old-self’s dream job?
I wanted to be a dentist. I wanted to do something that had a meaningful impact, and I thought what better way to do that than to be part of the reason behind someone’s smile.
Why are you excited about working at Precision Group?
I’m excited about working at Precision Group specifically because of the company’s momentum, the essential nature of the broadband industry, and the opportunity to contribute at a time when strategic decisions can have a material impact on future growth. It is especially exciting to be in a role where finance can help support smart investment, strong execution, and long-term value creation
Do you have a motto or personal mantra?
The only time ‘success’ comes before ‘work’ is in the dictionary.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
‘Discipline & Consistency > Everything else’ Throughout my career, and in life more broadly, I have learned that motivation comes and goes, but discipline and consistency carry you through both the highs and the lows.
