Committed to U.S. Manufacturing for Broadband Expansion

At Precision Group, we’ve always listened to our customers, and today, the demand is clear: Made in the USA matters.

With the federal government investing $40 to $60 billion to expand broadband access nationwide, Build America, Buy America (BABA) and the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program are reshaping our industry. These initiatives ensure that taxpayer dollars support American jobs, American manufacturing, and American infrastructure.

That’s why we’re taking action—Precision Group will be BABA & BEAD compliant by Q4 2025.

How We’re Achieving Compliance

To meet the requirements of BABA & BEAD, we’re investing in domestic manufacturing and ramping up production capabilities right here in the U.S. Our strategy includes:

New Injection Molding Facility in Kentucky

We’ve just completed pouring concrete for Phase 2 of our 84,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art production space, enabling U.S. manufacturing of critical broadband solutions.

In-House Manufacturing and Assembly of NIDs, Wall plates and Fiber ONT Enclosures

Phase 1 focuses on producing our trusted network interface devices, wall plates, and enclosures in the U.S. with the same quality and support. This ensures BABA and BEAD compliance while expanding capacity for shorter lead times and enhanced kit and assembly capabilities.

Navigating Exemptions & Compliance

Certain broadband components like splitters and lithium-based batteries are currently exempt from BABA & BEAD requirements. However, key infrastructure elements—such as NIDs and fiber-related components—must meet stringent U.S. manufacturing guidelines.

Meeting the 51% U.S. Content Requirement

For applicable products, we’re ensuring that at least 51% of material and labor costs are sourced domestically. This approach helps our customers meet federal funding requirements without compromising on performance or quality.

Why This Matters for Broadband Expansion

BABA & BEAD aren’t just about compliance—they’re about connecting communities.

High-speed broadband is becoming a utility as essential as electricity, and the U.S. government is investing in underserved regions to make universal access a reality. By ensuring our products qualify under these programs, we’re helping service providers, municipalities, and broadband contractors secure funding to build out critical infrastructure.
