What do you love about the Broadband industry?
Being on the front lines of emerging technologies as well as playing a part in the overall industry-wide initiative to provide broadband to underserved and unserved areas throughout rural America.
How has the industry evolved over your career, looking back what is most surprising?
From an enterprise standpoint, the evolution of category-rated cabling going from the standard being 5e to 6/6e for the majority of builds. Along with the improved efficiency of cabling led to more focus and growth in the in-building wireless/DAS space. From an outside plant standpoint, the exponential growth and adoption of fiber as service providers continue to transition away from legacy coax and into a more concentrated FTTX approach.
What does your favorite Saturday look like?
Coffee, golf and college football (or as much as my two year old permits!)
What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
Personally speaking, going to the gym, golfing and subjecting myself to the torture that is being a Titans fan. As a family we enjoy traveling, exploring new coffee shops and attending concerts.
Tell us something about yourself people may not know?
I love the beach and have a dream of retiring to Fenwick Island, DE many years from now and running a small coffee shop after I retire.
What was your 10 year-old-self’s dream job?
NFL player for the Titans or NBA player for the Wizards (I have an innate ability of being a fan of often terrible teams).
Why are you excited about working at Precision Group?
The people, the culture and the products. I have become more familiar with the precision team and product offering throughout my time within distribution and appreciate the approach the precision team takes with their customer base as well as their willingness to listen and adjust products to better fit their customer needs.
Do you have a motto or personal mantra?
“If you stay ready you don’t need to get ready.”
