What do you love about the Broadband industry?

Broadband is essential infrastructure, but most people only think about it when it stops working.

That is part of what makes the industry fascinating to me. Behind something that feels almost invisible to the end user is an enormous amount of engineering, infrastructure, installation expertise, and problem solving.

I also love how practical the industry is. A seemingly small improvement in a product can save installation time, simplify inventory, prevent a truck roll, or improve reliability for thousands of subscribers.

How has the industry evolved over your career, looking back what is most surprising?

Over the course of my career in connectivity and technology, the conversation has evolved from individual components and specifications toward complete systems, deployment efficiency, interoperability, resilience, and the total customer experience.

What surprises me most is how quickly connectivity went from being something people appreciated to something they simply expect to be available all the time.

Today, losing broadband for a few hours feels much more disruptive than losing electricity! It shows how central connectivity has become to everyday life.

What does your favorite Saturday look like?

My ideal Saturday starts early on a bicycle. There is something about getting on the road before most people are awake that clears my head and gives me energy and ideas. That’s my introspection time and wish I could do more of it these days!

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

Cycling and travel are two of my biggest passions. I grew up watching the Tour de France every summer (and still watches every year).

I love visiting different countries and experiencing their culture, food, history, and different ways of living. Travel is a great reminder that there is rarely only one way to look at things, or one correct way to do something.

I also strongly believe that understanding a country through its food is legitimate research!

Tell us something about yourself people may not know?

I was born and educated in Lyon, France but spent my entire working career in the United States. So, I have both French and American citizenship. I speak English, French fluently and can get by with Spanish.

What was your 10 year-old-self’s dream job?

I wanted to be an archaeologist. I loved the idea of discovering things, understanding how people lived, and piecing together a story from clues. I suppose I still do a version of that today, just with customer insights, market data, spreadsheets and powerpoint instead of excavation tools.

Why are you excited about working at Precision Group?

What attracted me to Precision is the combination of strong customer relationships, installer-driven product thinking, speed, entrepreneurship, and a unique combination of fiber and power expertise.

There is a genuine willingness here to listen to customers and solve practical problems that larger organizations might overlook. Precision has built meaningful brand equity around being made by installers, for installers and around solving real field problems.

I’m excited about helping preserve that entrepreneurial DNA while adding the product strategy, customer insight, processes, and marketing capabilities that can help Precision scale and capture the next set of growth opportunities.

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?

“Start with the problem, not the product.”

It is easy to fall in love with an idea or a new technology. I would rather first understand the customer, the problem, and why it matters. The product usually becomes much clearer after that.

What would be the title of your autobiography?

Title would be “Always curious”

Curiosity has probably been the common thread throughout my career… apparently all the way back to wanting to become an archaeologist when I was a kid.
