What do you love about the Broadband industry?
The people, I’ve met so many great people over the years and developed many friendships that will last the rest of my life. Also the technology, it just keeps changing and getting better and better!
How has the industry evolved over your career, looking back what is most surprising?
How much fiber cable has played a role. When I first started customers were putting in 24 strands or less and thought they would never out grow it. Nowadays we can’t put in enough fiber!
What does your favorite Saturday look like?
In the summer, I’m up north at the lake cabin spending the day on the boat with my family, eating something off the grill for dinner and finishing the day at the bonfire! In the winter, my wife and I are flying down a snowmobile trail along with our best friends!
What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
Boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and playing a little guitar (very little and not very well).
Tell us something about yourself people may not know?
I actually make a pretty good apple pie from scratch. It’s my mom’s old recipe, although mine doesn’t quite turn out as good as hers used to!
What was your 10 year-old-self’s dream job?
Sportscaster for either the Detroit Red Wings or Detroit Tigers!
Why are you excited about working at Precision Group?
I’m excited to see the industry from the manufacturing side of the business after 27 years in distribution. I’ve always enjoyed working with customers on finding solutions that fit their needs. PG has a lot of great products that fill those needs, and in addition, I’ll have the opportunity to customize those products or perhaps develop something completely new!
Do you have a motto or personal mantra?
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
What would be the title of your autobiography?
Taller than I look!
