More Efficient Power. Less Heat.
One of the biggest changes inside the upgraded Micro UPS solutions is the completely redesigned power supply.
Instead of relying on older silicon-based components, the new designs utilize Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology to increase efficiency while reducing heat generation.
Heat is one of the biggest enemies of electronics. Higher temperatures reduce efficiency, shorten component life, and often require additional cooling components.
The new PP36L and PP75L minimize those issues by producing less heat while operating at Level VI efficiency, the highest efficiency standard currently available for external power supplies.
That also allowed Precision Group to eliminate one of the most common failure points.
No Fan. No Moving Parts.
Cooling fans eventually wear out. Dust builds up. Bearings fail. Moving parts create opportunities for failure over time.
The new PP36L and PP75L removes the fan completely.
“Our goal is for the installer to not even think about our solutions when they are performing the install,” says Drew. “Once installed, the goal is simple: verify the connection, walk away, and not have to think about the power supply again because it simply works.”
Fewer moving parts mean fewer potential failures. That means greater long-term reliability for providers and fewer truck rolls.

Small interruptions can disconnect battery backup without anyone realizing it.
The upgraded PP36L and PP75L address that with an improved mechanical connection between the battery and power supply.
Installers now hear and feel a positive locking click when the two pieces connect.
“It seems like nothing,” Drew says, “but we live in a world where audible connections mean reliable connections.”
That simple improvement gives installers confidence that the system is fully seated before they leave the home.

By redesigning the internal electronics, Precision Group increased overall system efficiency enough to provide approximately 10% more usable backup time from the same battery capacity.

Long-term reliability has always been one of the biggest advantages of Precision Group’s lithium battery platform. Every residential PP36L and PP75L battery includes multiple layers of battery protection and intelligent battery management designed to maximize life and monitor performance.
The residential system carries a five-year replacement warranty on both the battery and power supply. Rackmount solutions extend that protection even further with seven-year full replacement warranties.
Precision Group also performs automatic battery self-tests every 60 days to verify battery health without disrupting service. If a battery ever falls below acceptable performance, providers know before the customer does.
